Estrella Mountain Regional Park

Another Friday, another Girl Scout meeting!  And was this one to remember!  All three groups (Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors) went to Estrella Mountain Regional Park to learn about the desert that we live in.  First, we went to the nature center to spend time with the park rangers.  They gave us an overview of the types of animals that live in the desert around us.  A few of the girls we so scare they actually started crying because they didn't want to go on the nature walk and "bump" into some of those desert creatures, specially the snakes.

After the nature center, we walked the 1/2 mile loop just to give the girls a glimpse of what a hike would be like in the desert.  Then it was time for ice cream and the playground.  All in all, it was a fun couple of hours!
