A Big Weekend - May 21st - Fr. John

We also celebrated Father John Herman, our St. John Vianney Pastor since 2002. Father John has been a constant in our lives since we started attending SJV school. He has been there for our parish, our school and specifically my family on many, many occasions. He will be leaving SJV to be the pastor of a Holy Cross parish in Monterey, Mexico. He will be sorely missed!

On Saturday night we attended the "Father John Fundraising Farewell" dinner to help raise money for his new parish.   We had a very good steak and baked potato dinner with dessert and enjoyed a slide show of Fr. John's time at SJV.  Fr. Drew came in to emcee the event and it was fun. 

After the dinner, we met Fr. John, Fr. Drew and Brian at Majerle's for more fun.  It was a good night spent with good friends.
