Road Trip - Day 2

Day started out with us being locked INSIDE Casa Romero! Yes, INSIDE!  We woke up, got ready and then went downstairs ready to say bye to our lovely hosts.  I heard Joshua talking to someone, who I thought was Ricky.  So I get downstairs and there is NO ONE there except us, the Mesquitas!  Where is everyone?  Well, Laura goes to work at 6am, not sure about Bonnie and Ricky was there, but left with that "someone" Joshua was talking to...Santi. We test the door to make sure it locks and we are walking out.  Well, we tried.  Anthony was turning the knob to open the door but nothing happened.  The knob wasn't "catching" so the door wouldn't open.  We could have left through the garage, but we weren't sure how the others would get back in the house.  I called and texted Bonnie and Ricky, but no answer.  I ended up calling Martha and found out that sometimes that knob acts up.  Twenty minutes later and Anthony had fixed it and were finally on the road.  I wish I would have recorded those 20 minutes.  It was soooooo funny!  Maybe you just had to be there. =)

We finally got back on the road and made our way to Monterrey.  It was a beautiful drive, but a long one.  It took about 5 hours to get to Monterrey.  We went to the aquarium which is awesome.  There is so much to see and do, we arrived around 2ish and stayed until closing, 6pm.  The kids had a blast! We saw everything you could image!  Well, except the otters! I don't know how I missed that exhibit!

Next we continued our trek north to our hotel in Fremont.  The Marriott was a great hotel.  We had dinner on the way, checked into our hotel and called it a night. Getting some zzzzz's for our first day in the city.
