I vividly remember her entry to this world, from eating a Tina's burrito for dinner to telling Anthony to %$# clock when he told me to focus on it (something we learned in lamaze classes). The doctors lost her heartbeat for a few minutes. It was scary when all the doctors came into my room and didn't tell us anything until after wards. Then when my OB finally came to check on me and five minutes later says, "I'll be in touch with the hospital." I told her . . . "Why are you leaving? Can't you just take the baby out now?" The answer was no, she wanted me to try natural. And three hours later, she's back for my emergency c-section. They prepped, had Anthony wait, then brought him in when they were ready to deliver the baby. Just a minute or two later, the Dr. says "it's a girl." Our beautiful Alexandra. What happened next? I fell asleep and was snoring. I was tired!! Apparently, I'm the only patient to snore in the operating room after having a baby. LOL! My OB should always remember me.
It was a quick 18 and a half years. But she is on to bigger and brighter things. I can't wait to see what God has planned for this beautiful young lady. She will be attending Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana, in the Fall. She will be so far away, but I'm so happy for her. God bless you, Alexandra! Always remember, I LOVE YOU MORE THAN DISNEYLAND.
